Why I created this book
“I’d struggled to find resources for my neurodivergent son that would hold his attention for literally more than a few seconds. I started buying busy books for him on early learning topics and I was stunned to see him sit and match the velcro pieces to the correct images for five, ten, fifteen minutes at a time. He was demonstrating knowledge he’d previously not been able to communicate and was calm and happy. I knew straight away this concept would support Japanese learners of a wide range of abilities and interests, from high achieving learners who want to master their hiragana quickly through to kids who often cannot sit still long enough to finish a task. The Hiragana Busy Book is an enjoyable, inclusive resource to support students in reading hiragana.”
Our Hiragana Busy Books are Australian-made, designed and printed in the Clarence Valley, NSW.
We use a sturdy construction to ensure your books can be kept clean and enjoyed for many years to come.
A lot of time and love goes in to hand-making each Hiragana Busy Book.
Our aim is to help more learners feel confident with Japanese script and to save teachers and parents time with these no-prep, reusable activities.

Refund and exchange policy
We only offer refunds or exchanges if your book is damaged or faulty on receipt.
You have 30 days from the date of receiving your Hiragana Busy Book to request a refund or an exchange
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, your books must be unused, in the same condition you received them.
We don’t offer refunds or exchanges unless the product is damaged or faulty.
If there any issues with your purchase or to request a refund or exchange, please contact kelly@languagesroadshow.com.au
If your request for a refund or exchanged is approved, we will then contact you with further instructions as to how to send it back to us and when to expect your new book or a refund.
